Silver Futures Up On Higher Bets

Silver prices on Thursday jumped Rs983 to Rs88,561 per kilogram as participants increased their bets. On the Multi Commodity Exchange, silver contracts for March delivery increased Rs983 or 1.12 per cent to Rs88,561 per kg in a business turnover of 33,933 lots. Fresh positions built up by participants led to a rise in silver prices, analysts said. Globally, silver was trading 1.49 per cent lower at $29.33 per ounce in New York.
